These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CarBuilds.com (the “Platform”, “Service”, “CarBuilds”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. Operator of the Platform

2. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hungary.

3. Eligibility and Use by Minors

The Platform is not an adult service.

Users under the age of 16 may only use the Platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for their actions on the Platform.

By using the Platform, you confirm that you are legally permitted to do so under applicable law.

4. Nature of the Platform

CarBuilds.com is a community-driven social platform for documenting, sharing, and discussing vehicle-related projects.

The Platform may be used by:

Private individuals
Business-related users (currently via individual user accounts representing businesses)

Company-level features may be introduced in the future.

5. Accounts and Registration

5.1 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activities performed under your account.

5.2 Multiple Accounts

Users may maintain multiple accounts. However, it is strictly prohibited to:

Create accounts impersonating other individuals
Use names of brands, businesses, YouTube channels, or trademarks without authorization
Misrepresent identity or affiliation

5.3 Username and Identity Disputes

In the event of disputes:

Legal proof may be required
CarBuilds has final discretion over account ownership, naming, and resolution

5.4 Account Sale and Transfer

User accounts may not be sold, transferred, or assigned for compensation.

CarBuilds reserves the exclusive right to create, manage, or potentially commercialize pilot or system-generated accounts.

6. Pilot Accounts and Aggregated Content

CarBuilds may create pilot accounts that aggregate publicly available vehicle-related content (e.g. from YouTube) for discovery purposes.

Pilot accounts are anonymized
No videos are stored on CarBuilds servers
No branding or trademarks of content owners are used

Ownership of a pilot account may be transferred only after verification of the rightful content owner. Until verification, CarBuilds retains control.

Upon request from the rightful owner, pilot accounts and all associated content will be taken down immediately.

7. User Content and Ownership

7.1 Ownership

Users retain ownership of their uploaded content unless explicitly transferred using Platform features.

7.2 Upload Rights

Users may upload only content they fully own or control, including photos created with their own devices.

Uploading stock photos, licensed third-party images, or content you do not have rights to is prohibited. Repeated violations may result in permanent bans.

7.3 License to CarBuilds

By uploading content, you grant CarBuilds a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

Host, store, display, and distribute content
Resize, compress, watermark, and generate technical derivatives
Operate and improve the Platform

This license does not grant marketing or promotional usage without permission.

7.4 Image Processing

CarBuilds reserves the right to insert small visual identifiers (e.g. watermarks).
Different generated versions may be used for paid features in the future.

7.5 AI-Generated Content

AI-generated content is permitted provided it:

Complies with these Terms
Does not infringe intellectual property rights
Does not impersonate individuals, brands, or businesses

Users remain fully responsible for AI-generated content they upload.

8. Content Deletion

Deleted content or accounts may take up to 48 hours to be permanently removed.
Once deleted, content cannot be recovered.

CarBuilds does not guarantee data export upon deletion.

9. Community Conduct and Interactions

Users must interact respectfully.

Prohibited behavior includes:

Hate speech, harassment, threats, or violence
Impersonation or misleading conduct
Abusive or inappropriate language

CarBuilds respects freedom of expression within enforced community standards.

10. Moderation and Enforcement

CarBuilds uses automated and manual moderation.

We may remove content or restrict accounts at our discretion
We are not obligated to monitor all content proactively
Appeals may be submitted via email

CarBuilds reserves the right to ban users at any time, with reasoning provided where appropriate.

11. Reporting and Takedown

Content may be reported via [email protected].
Valid takedown requests will be handled promptly.

12. Visibility and Privacy Controls

Users control visibility settings (public, private, friends-only, invited users).

Users are responsible for:

Choosing appropriate visibility
Managing access permissions

Private content remains visible to authorized users.

13. No Endorsement of User Content

User-generated content does not reflect the views or opinions of CarBuilds or Prodizon Kft.

14. No Professional, Technical, or Safety Advice

All content on the Platform is provided for informational and community discussion purposes only.

CarBuilds does not provide:

Mechanical or automotive advice
Safety, legal, or regulatory advice
Financial or valuation advice

Actions taken based on Platform content are done at the user’s own risk.

15. Parts, External Links, and Affiliate Programs

CarBuilds may introduce sections allowing links to third-party products or services.

To support the Platform, CarBuilds reserves the right to:

Modify or replace user-submitted links with affiliate links
Earn commissions from such links

These changes do not affect prices paid by users.
CarBuilds is not responsible for third-party products or transactions.

16. Advertising and Sponsored Content

CarBuilds may introduce targeted advertisements or sponsored content, including within feeds.

CarBuilds does not share personally identifiable user data with advertisers.
Aggregated or anonymized reach and audience data may be shared.

17. AI-Assisted Features

CarBuilds may use third-party AI tools, including OpenAI GPT models, to provide features such as:

Project estimates
Planning assistance
Recommendations

AI outputs are automated and may be inaccurate. They are provided for informational purposes only and must not be relied upon as professional advice.

18. Use of Community Data for AI Improvement

CarBuilds may use aggregated and anonymized community data to improve features or develop new tools.

Private content and personally identifiable data are not used without a valid legal basis.
Details will be further described in the Privacy Policy where applicable.

19. Accuracy, Verification, and Misrepresentation

CarBuilds does not verify user-submitted data and lacks capacity to do so.

Users are solely responsible for data accuracy.
Intentional falsification or manipulation constitutes a serious violation and may result in permanent bans.

20. Availability and Infrastructure

The Platform is provided “as-is” and “as-available”.

No uptime guarantees are provided.
Infrastructure may be moved between providers. Data may be processed within the EU and via third-party cloud services. Traffic may be routed through services such as Cloudflare.

21. Pricing and Future Monetization

All features are currently free.

CarBuilds may introduce paid plans with advance notice via email.
Pricing and features will not change during an active billing cycle.

22. Security and Prohibited Activities

Any attempt to hack, abuse, or access accounts without authorization is strictly prohibited and may be reported to authorities.

23. Feedback and Bug Reports

Feedback may include technical data necessary for debugging.

By submitting feedback, users grant CarBuilds the right to use it without compensation or attribution.

24. Changes to the Terms

Users will be notified of changes via email and required to accept updated Terms upon login.

Continued use constitutes acceptance.

25. Assignment

CarBuilds may assign or transfer these Terms and the Platform to another legal entity at any time, including for restructuring, investment, or acquisition.

26. Force Majeure

CarBuilds is not liable for failures caused by events beyond reasonable control, including third-party outages, infrastructure failures, or regulatory actions.

27. Severability

If any provision is deemed invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
